Earth Day events at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Region

The Region has planned a number of events later this month including public tours of the Glenridge Quarry naturalization site in Thorold in recognition of Earth Day.

On April 22, members of the public are invited to to participate in the following events: at 10 a.m., bus tour of Niagara Waste Systems Ltd. in Thorold; 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., environmental displays at regional headquarters in Thorold; at 1 p.m., tree planting at Glenridge Quarry naturalization site followed by a tour of the site at 2 p.m.
